Leave No Trace Canada / Sans Trace Canada (LNTC) is looking for a highly motivated person who is interested in working at
developing and promoting the Leave No Trace program across Canada.

The role of the Executive Director is to provide leadership and management of Leave No Trace Canada based on direction set
out by its Board of Directors.
Under the authority of the board of directors (BOD) of LNTC, the selected candidate will have the mandate to promote
LNTC by establishing partnership with the outdoor community and securing funding from corporate partners. The
candidate will also be called to participate in helping to organize training and workshops as part of LNTC nationwide
The Executive Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the LNTC programs and operations, managing finances
and fundraising efforts, implementing policies established by the Board, promoting the organization, recruiting
members, representing LNTC to other agencies, organizations, supporters and the general public and advocating on
behalf of the organization.

● Aligns actions and direction with the goals set out in the Strategic Plan
● Develop partnerships and seek funding for Leave No Trace Canada
● Financial management: establish corporate partnership and grants
● Project development: help to coordinate projects and partnership initiated by LNTC
● Support the Board of Directors for all purpose of development in regard to the Leave No Trace program in Canada
● Provides quarterly status reports to the Board
● Facilitate communication to the public, LNTC members, partners and instructors
● Recommends and implements actions to meet goals set out in the strategic plan
● Works with the board to prepare a comprehensive budget
● Attends public events to promote the work of LNTC

● Proven success in fundraising
● Experience building and maintaining partnerships
● Three years of pertinent experience in project management or Non-profit organization management
● Dynamic and autonomous - the candidate will be driven to promote Leave No Trace
● Ability to work remotely and available to travel
● Capacity to communicate in English and French
● University degree in an appropriate field: Management, environment (asset)
● Involvement in the outdoor industry (asset)
