Patrick is a certified hiking guide in Canada, public speaker, avid hiker and Leave No Trace trainer. Certified in Wilderness & Remote First Aid with the Canadian Red Cross he is passionate about the outdoors, with extensive experience hiking and organizing mountain hikes for nearly 20 years in Quebec.

Some of his most recent adventures are: In 2018 Patrick hiked The Camino of Compostela; the Camino Del Norte and the Camino Primitivo, more than 385 miles (622 km). In 2017, he successfully completed the 2190-mile (3500 km) long trek on the legendary Appalachian Trail between the States (14) of Georgia and Maine; 148 days of hiking in complete autonomy. In 2016 he completed the Vermont Long Trail, 272 miles (438 km).

Having at heart to develop and enhance the outdoor experience of trail hikers, while respecting our social and environmental responsibility, he sponsors the Mont-Ouareau Trail on the National Trail in the province of Quebec, which allows him to promote and raise awareness around trail sustainability.

Patrick brings to the Leave No Trace Canada board 15 years of experience in leadership and management roles in a variety of areas, from software development industry to television and more recently in payroll business support.

Lucie is passionated about short and long distance hiking, She is eager to continue her outdoor activities in a natural, healthy and ecological way. Working in the field of education, she wants to help make a difference in safeguarding naturel spaces by educating people that they can also, by simple actions, preserve natural environments.

Ashley had the mountains as her backyard and all the freedom to roam a kid could imagine. From an early age on, hiking, camping, backpacking and all things natural have been an important source of energy, grounding, and growth for this nature lover and long-time social activist.

With an educational background in International Development and Non-Profit Management, Ashley has organized, led, and worked on service projects in all corners of the world with organizations such as Rotary International, Developing World Connections, and VIDEA.

Now more focused on teachable moments in our natural environment, Ashley has worked as an outdoor tour guide in the Rockies and Western Pacific and spent 5 years in the outdoor adventure travel industry. She now works as an environmental project manager with the BC Conservation Foundation. Committed to preserving the beautiful spaces she calls home, Ashley is thrilled to be serving as the Secretary on the LNTC Board of Directors.

In 1967, Haven traveled west to take a course from a new school called NOLS. At the end of the course, he decided that was exactly what he wanted to do. He started working for the school in 1969 and worked through 1975, leaving that year to finish his degree at Loretto Heights College where he received a B.A. He left NOLS to pursue business management opportunities until 1994 when he returned to NOLS on a part time basis working field courses. Shortly after his return, he stared instructing NOLS Leave No Trace Master Educator Courses and has instructed over forty so far. In 2008, he became the Leave No Trace Program Manager for NOLS Custom Education.
