Leave No Trace Instructor training (Dates to be confirmed)

Richard Talbot, Director of group J'enseigne Le Plein Air, organizes this two-day training camp in the heart of nature. The course will be taught by Danielle Landry, Master Educator and Founder Leader of De ville en forêt. It is intended for educators who accompany and supervise outdoor groups.

This course is at the intermediate level of the formal training structure of the Leave No Trace program.  The program has the ambition to train the best Leave No Trace Educators as possible in order to intervene with individuals and groups who frequent the natural areas for educational, recreational, sporting or tourist purposes.  The program prepares them to communicate, convey and interpret the 7 Leave No Trace principles© to support a change in behaviors and habits for an outdoor's practice.

NOLS and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoors Ethics are behind the Leave No Trace Training Program for Educators.

They published the Leave No Trace Master Educator Handbook (2015) which sets the most current training standards.  The whole program is based on a participative and experiential approach.
